4 People arrested in Prashanth Poojary Murder Case

The Mangaluru city police have arrested 4 People – Mohammud Haneef (36) and Mohammud Ilyas (27), Ibrahmin Liyaqat (26), Abdul Rasheed (39) in connection with the ghastly murder of Flower Vendor and Bajrang Dal activist Prashanth Poojary in Moodabidri, Karnataka on October 9. In total, six people were involved in the murder. Two others are yet to be arrested.

Prashanth was campaigning against cattle theft and cow slaughter. He was a key member of ‘Save Cow’ campaign. The eye-witness in this murder case, Vaman Poojary (a Coconut vendor) committed suicide after he was repeatedly threatened by unidentified people.
