Anup Surendranath resigns as Deputy Registrar of Supreme Court

Dr. Anup Surendranath, Professor of Natonal Law University in Delhi, who also worked as the Deputy Registrar (Research) of the Supreme Cout as a casual employee, resigned from Supreme Court, protesting against the SC’s decision to execute Yakub Memon.

Dr. Surendranath is known for his battle against capital punishment. He had even filed a petition against Yakub Memon’s hanging, but it was rejected.
