Assam MLA suspended for telecasting speech on Facebook Live

Assam Assembly Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami on Monday suspended AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam for three days for live streaming his speech in the house on Facebook Live on Friday.

Islam had used the social media site while the House was discussing a private member’s resolution over timely solution to the illegal immigration problem.

Islam admitted breaking the rules but urged that rules for telecast of affairs be amended in the interest of the people.
