After days of bickering, the BJP-led NDA has finally clinched the seat sharing deal for Bihar Assembly polls and announced it at a press conference today. The BJP will contest in 160 seats. In addition, some candidates of Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM will contest the polls on BJP symbol.
Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP will contest in 40 seats, while Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP will contest in 23 seats. Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM will contest in 20 seats. However, he also got an opportunity to decide a few candidates, who will contest on BJP symbol.
The press meet was addressed by BJP President Amit Shah, while Ramvilas Paswan (Lok Janshakti Party), Upendra Kushwaha (Rashtriya Lok Samata Party), Jitan Ram Manjhi (Hindustan Awami Morcha), Union Minister Ananth Kumar, BJP’s Bihar In-Charge Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister Giriraj Singh and many others were present on the occasion.
PM Modi will campaign for all four parties of the alliance in Bihar, confirmed Amit Shah. Modi may address 12 more rallies in the state in the run up to polls.
