Key witness in Kerala nun rape case found dead

ONI Bureau:  Key witness in the Kerala nun rape case Father Kuriakose Kattuthara of Jalandhar Diocese who had given statements against Kerala nun rape accused Bishop Franco Mulakkal, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district on Monday.

Father Kuriakose Kattuthara had been transferred to Dasuya from Jalandhar after the nun rape case controversy, earlier.

As per initial information, the nuns found Kattuthara unconscious in his room. They immediately rushed him to the Hospital where he was declared brought dead by a doctor.

The family of the 62-year-old priest has suspected a conspiracy in his death as and filed complaint with Alappuzha police seeking inquiry into his death. They alleged that the priest had received death threats for speaking against the Bishop.
