24/7 News Channel ‘ETV Odia’ launched in Bhubaneswar

Just a few weeks after the launch of Kalinga TV 24/7 News Channel by KIIT Group, another 24/7 News Channel made its entry to Odisha’s electronic media arena. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated ETV Odia at Chanakya Hall in Hotel Swosti Premium today.

The inauguration ceremony was held at 11:30 AM. Apart from Naveen Patnaik and Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha MP Prasanna Patsani and Jagdeesh Chandra, Head, ETV News Network were present at the occasion.

ETV Odia is not a new name to people in Odisha. It was the oldest TV channel of Odisha, owned by Ramoji Group. Earlier, it was active as a news-cum-entertainment channel. Later, it was sold to Network 18 Group. The entertainment wing is now known as Colors Odia. The 24/7 news wing has been relaunched as ETV Odia.
