Attempt to murder case filed against woman who hurled eggs at Odisha CM

ONI Bureau:  Talsari Marine police on Thursday lodged an attempt to murder case against the woman who had allegedly hurled eggs at the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik during the inauguration of Talsari Mahotsav in Bhograi, Balasore on Wednesday.

The case has been lodged under section 307 (attempt to murder) read with Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC.

Whoever does any act with such intention that, if he/she by that act caused death, he/she would be guilty of murder, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine; and if hurt is caused to any person by such act, the offender shall be liable either to imprisonment for life or to such punishment as is herein before mentioned.
