Bada Danda flooded ahead of Bahuda Jatra tomorrow

ONI Bureau:  Hardly one day left for the Bahuda Jatra, overnight rain submerged the Bada Danda (Grand Road) in Puri today.

As per report, the three chariots- Taladhwaja, Nandighosa and Darpadalan- stationed in front of the Gundicha temple have been surrounded by knee-deep water that might create obstacles during chariot pulling tomorrow.

Massive effort needed to pump out water from the inundated Bada Danda for smooth conduct of Bahuda Jatra, the return journey of Lord Jagannath and his divine siblings Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra.
