Blood Donation Camp held by Commissionerate Police

On the eve of Police Commissionerate Raising Day-2015, a blood donation camp was organised at the Indoor Stadium, Cuttack on 13th January 2015 under the patronage of Indian Red Cross Society, Regional Branch, Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack.

Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Hon’ble Minister, Health & Family Welfare, Government of Odisha, inauguruated the blood donation camp at 10 AM as the Chief Guest. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Sharma, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, RS Ranpise, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, BBSR-Cuttack and other police officers were present on the occasion.

In addition, members of Cuttack Mahanagar Shanti Committee and Pradeep Kumar Pattnaik, members of Red Cross Society were also present in the inaugural meeting. While highlighting the role of police in the society, Atanu Sabysachi Nayak hailed Commissionerate Police for organising blood donation camps.

Other distinguished guests gave their valuable advice regarding utility of blood donation. Altogether, 326 units of blood was collected during the camp.
