Bus Fares rises in Odisha as Fuel Price increases

The State government on Saturday announced to increase bus fares in the state under automatic fare revision mechanism following the recent hike of fuel prices.

Fare of ordinary buses has been hiked from 58 paise to 59 paise per km, express buses from 62 paise to 61 paise, deluxe buses from 80 paise to 82 paise and AC deluxe buses from Rs 1.01 to Rs 1.03 per km across the state.

Notably, the bus fares were hiked for the seventh time in the state this year.
