College Students’ Association, Locals observe Athmalik Bandh today

A day after the terrific bus accident in Angul district, the Athmallik College Students’ Association and locals called for Athamallick bandh on Saturday.

Students’ Union demanded Rs 5 lakh compensation to the family of each deceased.

All private schools, colleges, shops and business establishments were remained close and vehicular movements have been disrupted in Athamallick.

Notably, at least 19 persons were killed and over 30 critically injured when a private bus fell off from a bridge near Athmallick area in Angul district on Friday morning.
