Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday reviewed the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana in Odisha.
Reviewing the scheme Pradhan informed that, in the financial year 2015-16 around Rs 5,436 crore loan has been provided to 23.43 lakh beneficiaries in Odisha. The Government has set a target to provide loan to 30 lakh beneficiaries.
Addressing the public gathering, Pradhan said that, under the Mudra Yojana, loans ranging to Rs 10 lakh are provided to small entrepreneurs.
The initial products and schemes have already been named ‘Shishu’, ‘Kishor’ and ‘Tarun’ to signify the stage of growth and funding needs of the beneficiary in micro unit.
The five districts including, Khurda, Ganjam, Cuttack, Puri and Mayurbhanj districts has topped the list of disbursing loan under the Mudra Yojana. Khurda district has topped the list.
