Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Land Records and Settlement Commissioner Ashok Kumar Tarenia has directed the former chief secretary to return 70 acres of forest land to Odisha government.
As per reports, former secretary, Rabi Narayan Das was asked to return 70 acres of government land in the Salijanga Mouza of Jajpur Danagadi Tehsil to the state government. The government land was allegedly grabbed by the former chief secretary.
After getting information about land grab by Das, the Jajpur collector had urged the commission to restore the status of the land, which is “jungle kissam”. Officials alleged that Das allegedly grabbed the land when he was at the helm of the administration.
