HC directs ASI, SJTA, Puri Collector to submit affidavit on Jagamohana Repair

Keeping in view on repair and restoration work of Jagamohan inside the Shri Jagannath Temple, the Orissa High Court on Thursday directed the authorities of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the Puri Collector to file an affidavit on the status of the work.

As per the order of the Court, the ASI submitted a status report in the court claiming that 80 percent of the repair and restoration work of Jagamohan had been completed.

However, the court has asked the officials to submit the report through an affidavit and directed the SJTA and the Puri collector to submit affidavits in response to the affidavit of the ASI and has scheduled the next hearing of the case for August 3.
