Microsoft, Oracle, Paypal and USA industries to invest in Odisha

Numerous US organisations have communicated their enthusiasm for investing in Odisha. The perspective investors talked with chief secretary Asit Tripathy and other senior officials of the state under the authority of Dr Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). Tripathy led the interactive meeting through video gathering with the individuals from USISPF.

The financial specialists were from different segments like vitality, agri-business, sustenance, aeronautics, aviation, information technology, metals and renewable energy

The central enterprises which have indicated an interest in the interaction included ATC, Avaada Energy, Carirn Energy, Cisco, Exxon Mobil, Herbalife, HP, Mars, Microsoft, Oracle and Paypal.

Answering to the questions of prospective investors, the chief secretary said, “Many of our industrial estates are now in green zone. As of now, around 60% of the industries are now running by virtue of adopting COVID preventive measures.”

He said the state had followed strategy consistency in issues of modern advancement and now the state is very nearly turning out increasingly dynamic guidelines in- land renting, contract farming, direct farmer-market connect that will open new avenues of investment.

Industries secretary Hemant Sharma said, “Odisha is a pioneer state in having a stabilised single-window clearance system for investment proposals.”

The state has been among top-five lead states in the simplicity of working together, he included.
