Just a few days after asking government departments and officials to make good use of social media, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik told the BJD leaders to use social platforms to build public relations and spread the awareness on government’s schemes and policies.
While addressing a workshop at Pantha Niwas in Bhubaneswar, Naveen asked the party MLAs and MPs to become media savvy and use social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram heavily to reach out to the supporters as well as common people.
Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das too addressed the workshop and stressed on the need for using social media and its benefits. Of late, Mr. Das and his team have been very active on social media platforms.
“Once the MLAs and MPs get to know the problems and grievances of the people and take those issues to the CM, grievances redressal and governance would become easier,” he said.
Labour and ESI minister Prafulla Mallick spoke on the issues of construction workers and said out of 25 lakh construction workers in the state, about 13 lakh have been registered so far. The rest will be registered by 2019, he said.
