ONI Bureau: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has given a clean chit to Akhtar Hussain Khan of Samantarapur in Cuttack district, who was interrogated by an eight-member team of NIA over suspected terror link.
During the interrogation, a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Abdul Naeem, who was arrested on November 28 from Varanasi by the NIA and Uttar Pradesh Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) reportedly named Khan of having link with him.
On the basis of that a team of NIA had raided Khan’s house, located in Samantarapur in Kissan Nagar, in Cuttack and later, they had whisked Khan to the SP (rural) office.
The central agency also quizzed Hussein in New Delhi. The team has also seized Khan’s mobile phone, his bank passbook and few documents recovered from his house.
