No fees for students opting for Odia courses in Graduation in Odisha

ONI Bureau: As per the cabinet nod on December last year, the State Higher Education Department today announced, no fees for students opting for odia courses in graduation in government degree colleges from 2018-19 academic session in Odisha.

With an aim to promote Odia language the proposal to amend the Odisha Shop and Commercial Establishment Act, 1956 was also approved according to which the commercial establishments would compulsorily write their signages in Odia. The State Cabinet also approved formation of Odia Language Commission for promotion and preservation of the language.
