Odisha hold Edge over Punjab in Ranji Trophy

Anurag-SarangiAfter slumping to two successive defeats against Delhi and Rajasthan in Ranji Trophy, Odisha now look forward to register a win against Punjab, which may help the team to avoid a degradation to the plate level. Odisha has a definite edge over Punjab at the end of second day’s play in Mohali.

In reply to Punjab’s first innings score of 167, Odisha bowled out for 183, taking a 16-run lead. Paresh Patel (27), Girija Rout (26), Anurag Sarangi (47) and Halhadhar Das (36) were the top scorers. Siddarth Kaul took five wickets, while Sandeep Sharma took three wickets.

In the second innings too, Punjab suffered a batting collapse. At stumps, they were 37/4Yuvraj Singh is batting on 18. Basant Mohanty has taken two wickets.
