Pandian’s schedule, and Review of COVID-19 Preparedness across Odisha

Private Secretary to Chief Minister (5T) VK Pandian today visited Ganjam district, which has reported maximum number of positive cases in Odisha, to view the overall preparedness of the district administration in response to the pandemic situation.

Pandian visited Shergada block to take stock of the arrangements to tackle the spread of the coronavirus. During his visit, he held talks with Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, Superintendent of Police Brijesh Kumar Ray and other district and block level officials on a series of issues pertaining to migrant workers, quarantine centre management and implementation of lockdown and social distancing norms. Pandian also directed the officials to accelerate MGNREGA works to support the livelihoods of the people.

The 5T Secretary is also scheduled to visit Hinjili, Kabi Surjyanagar, Aska, Polsara and Berhampur. He will also review the Covid care centers in the district.
