ONI Bureau: BJP’s National General Secretary & former National Spokesperson of RSS, Ram Madhav visited Bhubaneswar yesterday to pay his tributes to Late Dr. Bansidhar Panda, who passed away on May 22.
It was a rare gesture from Ram Madhav, who just completed the rituals on his mother’s bereavement, but did not forget to come all the way to Odisha at a time when Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and BJD leaders are facing strong criticism for not turning up to pay their last respect to Dr. Bansi Panda, the Doyen of Odisha Industry.
After consoling the bereaved family, Ram Madhav not only tweeted the photos of his visit, but also came down heavily on Naveen Patnaik & BJD with the following tweet:
Dr Bansidhar Panda, @PandaJay’s father was a pioneer industrialist n a very dear friend of Biju Babu. Brought 1000s of jobs to Orissa. Naveen added 0. Jay won as BJD MP. Shocking to hear that not a single BJD leader incl CM visited/consoled departed’s family. So much pettiness. https://t.co/NLisCvhM3q

While it was a personal courtesy visit to mourn one of the pioneers of industrial revolution in Odisha, political pundits see it as the beginning of new political equations in Odisha.
As Jay Panda has already resigned from BJD, it would be interesting to see whether the bonhomie between him and Ram Madhav would bring any positive changes to Odisha.
