At least seven unidentified miscreants looted Rs. 45 lakh from the Bazar Branch of Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) in Rourkela city in Odisha on Tuesday.
According to the eyewitnesses, the miscreants entered the bank wearing helmet and mask at around 10 am. They looted the cash from the chamber of the cashier at gunpoint.
The assailants managed to flee the scene following the incident.
On being informed, Rourkela Police reached the spot immediately.
All entry points to the city have been sealed and manhunt exercise has been launched into the incident to nab the miscreants, police said.
