Women Shout Slogans; Protest Against Sale Of Liquor

On Wednesday, high drama was seen at Tinimuhani Chhak in Kendrapara district as hundreds of women of Nageshwarpur village blocked road protesting against sale of liquor in the area.
The women shouted slogans demanding shutting down of liquor shops from Nageshwarpur. According to the women, easy availability of liquor is causing bad impact on the youth as they are creating nuisance under the influence of alcohol.
The agitation impacted the movement of traffic on the busy Cuttack-Chandabali road as the vehicles remained stranded.
Police reached the spot on being informed and took control of the situation.

Due to lack of action from the administration, feeling helpless, the women took to road blocking agitation.
