Yogendra Yadav addresses Farmers’ Rally in Bhubaneswar

Insight Bureau: Hundreds of farmers from across the state stages a massive rally at the Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar today, which was addressed by national leader Yogendra Yadav. The rally was known as ‘Krushak Adhikar Chetabani Samavesh’.

The farmers blamed both state government and centre for the farmers’ plight and rising number of suicide cases in the state owing to debt burden and crop loss. Environmentalist and farmer leader Prafulla Samantray also joined the protest.

Apart from Odisha, a team of farmers’ representatives from West Bengal also took part in the farmers’ rally. The farmers warned to take up their fight to all villages in the state if no solution is found at the earliest.
