England, France reach Quarterfinals of Hockey World Cup 2018

ONI Bureau: England and France have reached the quarterfinals of Hockey World Cup 2018 with victories in the Crossover games tonight. New Zealand and China are out of HWC 2018.

In the first game, England beat New Zealand 2-0. Will Calnan (25th) and Luke Taylor (44th) scored the goals for England. Liam Sanford was declared ‘Player of the Match’. England will play Argentina in the quarterfinals on December 12.

In the second game, France beat China 1-0. Timothee Clement scored the lone goal of the match in the 36th minute. Viktor Lockwood was declared ‘Player of the Match’. France will play Australia in the quarterfinals on December 12.
