Kohli hits 107, India 300/7 vs Pakistan @ 2015 World Cup

Kohli-Hundred-22ndVirat Kohli became the first Indian cricketer to score a hundred against Pakistan in a World Cup game, as India posted 300/7 in 50 overs at the Adelaide Oval in 2015 World Cup. To break the World Cup jinx against India, Pakistan need to score 301 on a wicket, which may assist the spinners in the second half.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first. Rohit Sharma was out early. But, Kohli and Dhawan steadied the Indian innings. Dhawan was run out for 73. Kohli scored 107 off 126 balls. It was his 22nd ODI hundred in the 146th match of his career. Suresh Raina too regained form and scored 74.

India finally ended at 300/7, as Pakistan bowled well towards the death overs. While South Africa scored 96 runs in the last five overs against Zimbabwe. India scored 27 runs in the last five overs against Pakistan. Kohli’s dismissal was a big blow. India got short of 20-25 runs. For Pakistan, Sohail Khan took five wickets.
