Rio Olympics 2016: Boxer Vikas Krishan enters Quarter-finals

Indian boxer Vikas Krishan Yadav on Friday defeated Turkey’s Sipal Onder 3-0 to enter the quarter-final of the men’s Middleweight (75kg) category at the Rio Olympics.

The Haryana boxer now stood a win away from an Olympic medal. Vikas dominated all three rounds with the scoring of 30-27, 29-28, 29-28 in his favour.

Vikas won a gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games in the Lightweight category.
